Coaching for MYF

To become a coach in the Muskego Youth Football (MYF) program, several important steps must be completed prior to the start of the season. Coaching in MYF is a privilege and an opportunity to positively impact young athletes—our program holds all coaches to a high standard of conduct and professionalism.

Steps to Become an MYF Coach:

1.      Contact the Program:

Express your interest by reaching out to the Board of Directors Contact Muskego Youth Football or speaking with a current coach. You may also indicate your interest during player registration by completing a few questions in the registration form.

2.      Complete the Trusted Coaches Background Check:

• You’ll receive instructions via email from the MYF Coaching Director in June.
• Each coach must create a personal profile and complete the background verification process through the Trusted Coaches platform.
• This must be completed annually prior to June 16th, and all costs are fully covered by MYF.

3.      Complete USA Football Youth Tackle Certification:

• This certification is required every year and must be completed through the USA Football website.
• Coaches will receive a link and instructions via email from the Coaching Director in June.
• This must be completed annually prior to July 24th, and all costs are fully covered by MYF.

4.      Attend the Muskego Varsity Football Coaching Clinic:

• MYF partners with Muskego High School Football, and all coaches are expected to attend the annual coaching clinic hosted by Muskego High School Varsity Head Coach Ken Krause in April.

5.      Attend the Mandatory Coaches Meeting:

• All coaches—new and returning—must attend the MYF All-Coaches Meeting on August 3rd, 2025 at 7:00 PM at TBD.

6.      Complete All Requirements by July 24th:

• Background checks and certifications must be fully completed before any coaching duty's can be performed.

Important Note:

Coaching for Muskego Youth Football is not a guaranteed right. If the certifications and background checks are not completed by the given timelines, do not expect to be a coach for the upcoming season. The MYF Executive Board and Coaching Directors reserve the right to dismiss any coach at any time if behavior or actions that reflect negatively on the program. We expect every coach to represent MYF and Muskego with integrity, professionalism, and commitment.
